A possible accident at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran could lead to the spread of radiation to a large number of countries in the Middle East. This was announced on March 19 by the head of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev.
"If an incident occurs, it will be at least on a regional scale and will affect a large number of countries in the Middle East. None of the parties to the conflict can avoid exposure to radiation if there is a serious accident at Bushehr," he said.
