Instead of negotiating at the table, Europe has "slipped under the table." On March 19, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's request to provide a place for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

"They already had a place. Instead of negotiating at the table, they slid under the table, manipulating the topic of the Minsk agreements," RIA Novosti quoted Zakharova as saying.
