The fifth day of the Moscow Fashion Week has ended
The main industrial event of the country, the Moscow Fashion Week x Gigachat (#gigan weekels), continues in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege", which will last until March 19. The fifth day brought together designers from Moscow, Ivanovo, Kazan, Kaliningrad and Novosibirsk.
On the catwalks of the fifth day, archival prints met futuristic silhouettes, sand dunes — with architectural rigor, and aesthetics of the 80s - with modern layering. Here, folk motifs were reinterpreted through the prism of contemporary design, classics were transformed into an experiment, and the contrast of textures became the main artistic device. At the same time, the VK Lecture Hall discussed the future of the industry and the new rules of the fashion market, and in the GigaChat AI fitting room, technologies allowed catwalk looks to be tried on even before they went into production, demonstrating how digital solutions are becoming an integral part of fashion today.
Interviews continue to take place in the on-site studio of the Moscow 24 TV channel. At the forefront of the new collections of Russian designers were the heroes of gossip columns and stars, including actress Vera Volt and many others. The official photo service of the event was the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia.
The fifth day of Moscow Fashion Week was opened by a show of graduates of the Metrics Academy of Branding and Design. The designers presented a collection of fifty images based on the contrast of eras and materials. The line includes both strict modern suits and classic floor-length dresses. The main artistic techniques were asymmetry and layering. The collection plays out against the confrontation of textures: latex is replaced by weightless chiffon. The color range ranges from basic black, white, and gray to accent shades of red, purple, and sky blue.
Students of the Novosibirsk Institute of Technology of the A.N. Kosygin Russian State University presented a collection dedicated to the vast expanses of Russia. The line combines gentle futuristic images with bold and sexy solutions. The main focus of the collection is the cage, which is played out in coats, skirts and accessories. Through the selection of fabrics, textures and details, the authors explore the connection with nature, traditions and values of the motherland, referring to the images of forests, mountains, steppes and the ocean. Experimental forms inspired by Russian folk costume prove its timeless relevance, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity. The students' images were complemented by shoes from the O'SHADE brand, the official shoe partner of Moscow Fashion Week.
Miditi brand presented a collection dedicated to the Kaliningrad region at Moscow Fashion Week. The line includes 23 products in a noble sand range — from white to beige shades. The elegant images were complemented by pillbox hats in tandem with tulle, creating a veil effect, which became an elegant accent of the show. The silhouettes of the collection echo the images of sand dunes. Smooth lines and soft shapes create a sense of natural variability, while layered textures emphasize movement.
The capital's brand Zotēme presented a collection based on color contrast and deep cultural references. The line, inspired by the work of Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, features corsets, suits, skirts and dresses with flowing hemlines. The central element was the image of a woman in the artist's art. This image in the form of a print shines on one of the dresses in the line. Special attention in the collection is paid to prints created directly on the basis of paintings by Petrov-Vodkin.
In the new collection of the Kazan brand Shakirova Brand, the designer combined an abundance of textures and shades — pink, red and blue. Laconic images are complemented by expressive accessories and embroidery, and floral motifs create a spring mood. The materials of the collection are selected with special attention to their character: summer taffeta keeps its shape, but retains its airiness; noble jacquard gives a sense of solemnity; cotton and denim become a reliable base for experiments. And straps, ties and knots allow you to change the meaning of things depending on your mood and the way you wear them.
Ivan Kutuzov, the founder of the brand of the same name, presented a collection dedicated to the heritage of the Ivanovo Chintz Museum. The designer reinterpreted Soviet factory drawings from the late 1920s and 30s, combining them with the aesthetics of a work uniform. As a result, the modern idea of the male image has received an unexpected interpretation. The line includes dense and transparent turtlenecks with dynamic prints, as well as white cotton shirts with bright patterns. The inspiration of the avant-garde artists organically complemented this story, giving it a relevant vision. The collection was accompanied by shoes from the O'SHADE brand, the official shoe partner of Moscow Fashion Week.
The GigaChat AI fitting room area continues to operate as part of the Moscow Fashion Week. This is the first experience in Russia when, thanks to a neural network, you can try on real collections that have not yet entered production and will only be presented on the catwalk of Moscow Fashion Week. Visitors try on the catwalk images of young designers participating in the Moscow Fashion Week. It is enough to stand in front of the screen and see how the digital version of the exclusive bow sits on them, as well as take a photo for memory in a unique photo zone.
