Two people were killed and one injured in a massive road accident in Stavropol

An accident involving three cars occurred in the Blagodarnensky district of the Stavropol Territory. Two people died and one was injured. The regional Prosecutor's office has begun an inspection.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, with reference to the traffic police press service and the supervisory authority, the accident occurred on the evening of March 18 on the 69th km of the Zhuravskoye-Blagodarny-Krasny Manych highway. It was previously established that the driver of the VAZ 2109 drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a Lada Kalina. After that, he collided with a KAMAZ truck.

The passenger of the Lada Kalina died at the scene of the accident. Two car drivers were hospitalized. Later, one victim died. The traffic police of the region found that the driver of the VAZ 2109 was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for traffic violations.

Earlier it was reported that Alexey Goncharov, acting Deputy Chairman of the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory, resigned after an accident involving him, in which a woman died last summer. A fatal accident involving Goncharov occurred in the Uletovsky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory on the evening of July 21 on the Irkutsk–Chita federal highway. The Mercedes Benz driver, who turned out to be Goncharov, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Toyota Fielder. As a result of the accident, a Toyota passenger born in 1978 died in the hospital.
