Seven dams to be built in Transbaikalia in 2026

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, 5 billion rubles will be spent on dam construction as part of a long-term program until 2028. Seven protective structures are planned to be built this year.

This was reported by ChitaMedia news agency after a meeting of the United Russia faction in the regional parliament. At the moment, the construction of dams is already underway, repairs are being carried out, and riverbeds are being cleared and deepened. Rosvodresurs specialists are taking part in the work.

So, in Chita, dams will appear on the Chita River along Yaroslavsky and Kovylnaya streets, as well as on the right and left banks of the Ingoda River.

Earlier it was reported that more than 290 million rubles will be allocated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the construction and repair of hydraulic structures. The funds will come from the regional and federal budgets, in particular, within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being". For example, two water protection dams on the Tuba River will be repaired in the Kuraginsky district. Construction of 2.5 km-long coastal defenses on the Oya River will begin in the Ermakov district.
