- The winners of the International Industrial Development Olympiad PROD were awarded in Moscow
The results of the International Industrial Development Olympiad PROD were summed up in Moscow. The competition was organized by the T-Technologies Group, the Central University and the Higher School of Economics.
In the 2025/26 season, the Olympiad officially received international status and was held for the first time in two languages — Russian and English. More than 4,000 schoolchildren from all regions of Russia and 33 countries took part in the competition, including Angola, Armenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Israel, Indonesia, China, Congo, Laos, Liberia, USA, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Japan and others. The finalists worked in teams for five days to create real IT products.
Industrial development involves the creation of programs and technologies for mass use, which are usually worked on by large teams of specialists in IT companies. As part of the Olympiad, participants were offered cases based on real business problems. For example, one of the projects is a dating service that selects couples based on the user's lifestyle.
Rafael Church, a participant in the International PROD Olympiad from the USA, said that his team was creating a dating app integrated into the T-Bank ecosystem. "Artificial intelligence finds the best matches based on your purchases, your location and your lifestyle," he explained. Other projects include an updated social network concept for a new audience of investors.
The work of the finalists was supervised by experts from T-Bank, Avito, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, as well as teachers from the Central University and the Higher School of Economics.
Anastasia Naurzokova, the winner of the International PROD Olympiad, noted that participation made them feel like real developers. According to her, the teams worked on the product for several days in the same way as it happens in the real industry, using professional tools and presenting the final solutions to experts.
The organizers note that the Olympiad gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the profession of a developer and actually creates a bridge between the education system and the challenges of the digital economy.
Varvara Smirnova, Director of T-Education, said that the winners receive additional opportunities for further development. In particular, we are talking about admission to partner universities - the Central University and the Higher School of Economics, as well as internships at T—Bank. She added that one of the finalist teams is already planning to be invited to a summer internship at a technology company.
According to the organizers, the growing interest in the Olympiad reflects a new trend among schoolchildren — the desire to participate in practice-oriented IT competitions.
The PROD International Olympiad is becoming a new format for identifying and supporting technical talents and an important step in developing the country's technological potential.
