Comprehensive restoration of 42 facilities has been completed at VDNKh
In recent years, 42 cultural heritage sites have been put in order at VDNKh, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the MACH channel. The plans include the completion of the restoration of the main facade of the Zolotoy Kolos restaurant, the Leto cafe, pavilions No. 62 "Nature Protection" and No. 64 "Optics".
"VDNKh remains Moscow's largest restoration site," Sobyanin stressed on his channel. According to him, some of the pavilions have received a new purpose.
Thus, the Exhibition and Trade Center of the Republic of Abkhazia will be opened in Pavilion No. 6 "Chemistry". Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the national cuisine, dances and traditions of the people. After the restoration, which the mayor assessed as the most difficult, a space dedicated entirely to tea culture appeared in Pavilion No. 35 "Glavtabak".
In 2025, immersive multimedia exhibitions "Beyond the Distant Lands" opened in the renovated pavilion No. 67 "Soviet Seal". The revived masterpieces of Russian painting" and "Being Van Gogh".
Earlier, Sobyanin called the House of Culture one of the key leisure spaces of VDNH. It became the first restored object in the framework of the program for the revival of the country's main exhibition. Pavilion No. 84, built in 1954, was one of the symbols of Soviet architecture and an important cultural center of VDNH, where concerts, lectures and creative studios were held. In December 2025, it was eight years since its opening after a large-scale restoration.
