The case of the assassination attempt on the head of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, in 2022 is in its final stages. This was announced on March 19 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"The investigation of the criminal case of the attempted murder of Vladimir Saldo in 2022 and the murder of two public figures is at the final stage. Three local residents are among the accused," the ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

On July 11, 2022, an attempt on the Balance was prevented in Kherson. Thanks to local residents, they managed to timely detect and defuse an improvised explosive device planted on the route of his car.
