Borrell recalled the original goals of the EU when it was created
The European Union (EU) was originally created to solve the internal problems of the states that became its members, and not to resolve external conflicts, including the one that is observed in the Middle East. This was announced on March 19 by the former head of diplomacy of the alliance, Josep Borrel.
"The EU was created to solve intra-European problems in a non-global world. It is not designed to solve this (Iranian. — Ed.) of the crisis," he said in an interview with the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
The source stressed that the association still does not have a sufficient structure to solve the crisis that is being recorded in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Now, according to him, "Europe needs to be rebuilt."
The British newspaper The Guardian warned on March 16 that participation in the war against Iran could lead to the death of the European Union. This step will weaken the political subjectivity of the association, which is paralyzed by what is happening.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, commenting on the EU's silence, appealed to the EU on March 18 to end the aggression against Tehran by Washington and Tel Aviv.
