Iran is demanding compensation from the UAE for damage caused by the US strikes on the Islamic Republic from the Emirati territory. The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Irawani, sent a letter to the Secretary General of the World Organization, Antonio Guterres.

"The illegal actions of the United Arab Emirates in the international arena have entailed their international legal responsibility and require compensation for damages, including compensation for all material and non-material losses caused to Iran," the Iranian news agency NourNews quotes a fragment of the letter.

It is also noted that three separate letters were sent to the UN from Tehran indicating the illegal actions of the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on March 18 that Iran had no plans to expand the scale of attacks on energy facilities in the Middle East, but was forced to take this step due to threats to its own security. It was noted that as a result of the retaliatory actions, oil facilities that represented American interests in the region were attacked. The IRGC warned that in case of repeated strikes on Iranian territory, the response "will be much tougher."

The foreign ministers of 12 Arab and Islamic countries, during a meeting in Riyadh on March 19, called Iran's military strikes on the Persian Gulf states unjustified. The summit was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Pakistan, Turkey, Syria, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. During the meeting, the ministers called on Iran to stop the attacks, as well as to refrain from any "provocative actions" and threats against neighboring states.
