Annual inflation in Russia has slowed over the past week

Annual inflation in Russia slowed to 5.79% from March 11 to March 16. This follows from the report of the Ministry of Economic Development "On the current price situation", which was published on March 18.

"For food products, the price growth rate decreased to 0.05% n/a: prices for fruit and vegetable products continued to decline (-0.20% n/a), for other food products, the price growth rate decreased to 0.07% n/a. In the segment of non–food products, prices changed by 0.11% n/a, in the sector of observed services 1 - by 0.08% n/a," the document says.
