The US Department of Justice has proposed a new rule to speed up the execution of death sentences. This became known on March 19 from American government documents.

"The execution of final judgments in death penalty cases in the states <...> is significantly delayed due to the endless review process at the state and federal levels. This rule removes obstacles that are not provided for by law and will allow for more prompt decision—making at the request of the states," according to the documents reviewed by RIA Novosti.
