Russia has developed a GOST for AI systems in the healthcare sector

The national standard GOST "Artificial intelligence systems in healthcare. Terms and definitions. Classification" was first developed in Russia. This became known on March 19 from a relevant document published on the website of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.

"Currently, artificial intelligence technologies are one of the key tools for the digital transformation of various sectors of the economy and the social sphere, including healthcare. However, the integration of these technologies into healthcare requires clear regulation, standardization and compliance with ethical principles," the document says.

It is noted that the new GOST is valid from February 1, 2026.
