Degtyarev announced the indexation of payments to the winners of the Olympics and Paralympics

Russian athletes who become winners or medalists of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Italy will receive increased payments due to indexing. Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation and head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), said this on March 18 during a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The champions and prize-winners of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will receive the traditional reward. On your instructions, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, we are preparing an indexation. The Ministry of Sports has developed a draft government decree," Degtyarev said.
