Two more health centers will be opened in the cities of the Tula region by 2029
New health centers will be opened in the cities of Aleksin and Suvorov in the Tula region by 2029. Dmitry Markov, Deputy chairman of the regional government, said this at the Healthy Society forum, which was held in Moscow on March 16-17.
"By 2029, two more centers will be opened in Aleksin and Suvorov. Timely examination, treatment and lifestyle correction can prevent the development of serious chronic diseases and prolong a healthy life," Markov said, as quoted by TSN24.
According to the politician, in 2025, as part of the national project "Long and active Life", a number of health centers were retrofitted in the Tula region. Similar medical institutions are already operating in Tula, Efremov, Kireevsk, Novomoskovsk and Uzlovaya.
The TSN24 publication also notes that in 2026, cognitive impairment classrooms will appear on the basis of six institutions. In addition, the region became the first in the country to launch the Health Map pilot project, which provides for an assessment of infrastructure that can affect the commitment of the population to a healthy lifestyle.
In December, it was reported that 41 healthcare facilities had been overhauled in the Tula Region in 2025. The list includes polyclinics, women's consultations and hospital complexes. 68 units of new equipment and 40 passenger cars for medical workers were also purchased.
