Cascade staircase to be closed in Zheleznovodsk for three months
In Zheleznovodsk (Stavropol Territory), one of the main attractions of the city, the Cascade Staircase, will be closed for repairs. This was announced by the head of the city Evgeny Bakulin in his social networks.
The structure will be repaired due to the mineral waters, which turned out to be aggressive for building materials, writes IA StavropolMedia.
"We understand that the temporary closure of the attraction may cause inconvenience. However, the safety of our citizens is our top priority," the mayor said.
According to Bakulin, the work will take about three months. The bypass terrencourt next to the stairs will operate normally.
The cascade staircase is the longest staircase in the south of the Russian city. It rises from Lake Thirty to the Resort Park at the foot of Zheleznaya Mountain. It is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance.
Earlier it was reported that in Zheleznovodsk, the subject of protection for the house church, a chapel built in 1903-1908, was officially approved. It is located in the village of Inozemtsevo.
