Municipal equipment in Moscow has started spring cleaning of streets

The capital's public utilities have begun spring cleaning of the streets. This was announced on Wednesday, March 18, at the Moscow City Economy complex.

For road cleaning, vehicles with side brushes and tanks are used to collect dirt and moisten the pavement. Under pressure, the machines suck up dirt, dust and small debris, and pre-humidification improves cleaning efficiency.

It is noted that compact and maneuverable GBU "Highways" vehicles are used for sidewalks, which are suitable for narrow spaces and do not interfere with pedestrians, especially in places with high traffic, the Moscow City News agency reports.

It is also reported that new electric sweepers will be operating in the city from 2025. They have already been adapted to the current season. The complex emphasized that the equipment is compact and versatile: in summer it is used as a vacuum cleaner, and in winter — for snow removal and distribution of deicing materials. The advantages include an eco-friendly electric motor. This technique is used all year round in dry weather, writes "Moscow 24".
