- Sobyanin announced the completion of the first tunnel of the Biryulevskaya metro line
A ceremony was held in Moscow to complete the sinking of the right tunnel of the Biryulevskaya metro line under construction. Sergei Sobyanin started work on the left-hand transfer tunnel from the Klenovy Boulevard station towards Kuryanov on Wednesday, March 18.
According to him, the construction of the first stage will last until 2028, and the entire line is planned to be completed by 2029. He stressed that the work was going to be large-scale, but expressed confidence that the Moscow builders would be able to cope, Moscow 24 reported.
Sobyanin also noted that plans to create the Biryulevskaya line have been in place for about 50 years, but technical limitations, including the inability to integrate with existing infrastructure, had previously prevented their implementation. According to him, after the launch of the Moscow Central Ring and the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line, it became possible to build new radial routes, including the Biryulevskaya Line. kp.ru .
The Olga tunneling complex will lay 1.13 km from Klenovy Boulevard to Kuryanov at a depth of up to 26 m, NSN specifies. The work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2026, according to the Moscow City News Agency. At the same time, the right tunnel between the Island of Dreams and Klenovy Boulevard became the first major object of the new metro line.
On March 17, it was reported that the construction of the right bypass tunnel had been completed at Dostoevskaya station on the Koltsevaya Metro Line. The overall readiness of the station, taking into account mining operations, is 44%.
