Trump called on allies to help open the Strait of Hormuz
Washington's allies need to step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz. On March 18, US President Donald Trump wrote about this on his Truth Social network.
The American leader accompanied the publication with a link to an article in the New York Post, which claims that the "allies" of the United States were not allies at all when they refused to help unblock the strait.
"One of the real advantages of the war with Iran is that it exposes once-hidden disloyalty. These "allies" of the United States rejected Trump's call for help, even if purely symbolic, in opening the Strait of Hormuz," the US president said.
On March 15, Trump appealed to countries dependent on oil supplied through the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran, to ensure the safety of this transport route. He then threatened NATO with a "bad future" if it refused to help unblock the water area.
