A criminal case has been opened in Krasnoyarsk over the disappearance of a man in the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park. This is reported by the press service of the regional office of the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary data, on March 9, a 56-year-old local resident arrived at the eastern entrance of the reserve. He parked his car and headed for Ermak Mountain, after which he stopped contacting.

A friend of his turned to law enforcement agencies with a statement about the missing man. A large-scale search for the missing person is underway with the participation of law enforcement officers and volunteers. Drones are used to survey hard-to-reach places.

The circumstances of the Krasnoyarsk man's disappearance are being established, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. Investigators conducted a detailed inspection of the missing man's car. There were no signs of illegal actions being committed against him.

Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of 2026, 11 tourists have been helped at the Krasnoyarsk Pillars. Another 10 people were injured and needed medical help.
