More than 2.5 thousand people in Chita were injured by ice, but the final statistics have not yet been formed. These figures were announced by Oksana Borisova, head of the Commission for the Development of civil society institutions of the Public Chamber of Transbaikalia, during a round table.

"According to statistics, this season has not yet been closed until March 11, but as of March 11, 2,543 people have been treated for injuries caused by ice. This is 24% of them, including 221 children," Borisova said, as quoted by the correspondent of ChitaMedia news agency.

According to her, according to the official statistics of the city's emergency room in 2023-2024, 2,046 calls were received due to injuries on ice. This is 18.99% of the total number of victims. In 2024-2025, 23.43% of those who applied suffered from falling on ice, 260 of them were children.
