Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said on March 18 that Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib was killed in an Israeli strike. This is reported by the Times of Israel newspaper.

"The intensity of strikes in Iran is increasing. Iran's intelligence minister Khatib was also eliminated overnight," the newspaper quoted him as saying.
