Iran has announced the date of the V National Internet Content Award
In 2026, the IRI Prize will be held for the fifth time. The ceremony will take place on May 28 at the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace, where representatives of government, the media industry, digital technologies, culture and art will gather to honor the best authors of socially significant content.
This year, the IRI Award will present 15 main nominations reflecting current trends in the development of the Internet — from short films, game series and documentary projects to podcasts and music tracks, including new categories "Messenger Channel" and "Online Promotional Campaigns".
"The five years of the IRI Award are five years of searching for and supporting talented authors who are shaping the future of Russian digital content. We see how the online environment is rapidly changing, new formats and genres are emerging. In today's realities, it is especially important to show an honest cross-section of content that reflects the diversity of voices within the country. Our task is not only to highlight the best projects, but also to set a development vector, stimulate the creation of media products that carry the right values, strengthen cultural identity, and at the same time arouse sincere interest and response from people," said Alexey Goreslavsky, Director General of the IRI.
At the moment, the finalists are being selected by the Expert Council, following which the winners will be selected by a professional Jury.
The award was established by the Internet Development Institute in 2021 to promote creative online content and its authors. In 2025, a solemn ceremony was held at the Mosfilm Cinema and Concert complex, where the winners were announced in 22 nominations, including 15 main and 7 special ones. Among them: the game series for more than 30 minutes "GDR", the Telegram channel "MERCILESS PR MAN", the game series for up to 30 minutes "CURIOUS VARVARA", the documentary series "OIL", the podcast "HISTORY OF RUSSIA", ALEXANDER DZIDZARIA's blog, the musical track "VOLYA" by singer Miravi, the series "THE LAST HERO. LEGACY", the documentary series "At THE EDGE OF THE ABYSS", clergyman PAVEL OSTROVSKY and others.
