A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Zapad group of troops liberated the village of Alexandrovka in the DPR. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 180 militants, two HMMWV armored fighting vehicles, 25 vehicles, two field artillery guns and an ammunition depot.

In addition, the Center group of troops improved the tactical situation and defeated the manpower and equipment of the armed Ukrainian formations in the areas of the settlements of Novofedorovka, Petrovka, Novogrigorovka, Kucherov Yar, Lenina, Grishino, Belitskoe DNR, Ivanovka, Andronovka and Novopavlovka Dnipropetrovsk region.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. The formations of two mechanized, two amphibious assault, assault brigades and four assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of <...> Of the Zaporizhia region, <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy lost up to 275 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, has defeated Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 145 areas.

In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs and 316 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 124,731 UAVs, 652 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28,326 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,690 multiple rocket launchers, 33,917 field artillery and mortars, 57,130 pieces of special vehicles.
