Eight Russian citizens were injured in an accident in Phuket, Thailand, three remain in hospitals, and two of them are in serious condition. This was announced on March 18 by the Consul General of Russia in the province, Egor Ivanov.
"As a result of a minibus accident that occurred in Phuket on March 18 at 4:10 a.m. local time (0:10 a.m. Moscow time), eight Russian citizens and four Uzbek citizens were injured. <...> Currently, three Russians remain in hospitals, two of them in serious condition. Thai law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident," Ivanov told TASS.
It is specified that a woman from Uzbekistan died at the scene of the incident. The rest of the tourists were hospitalized, and they received all the necessary medical care.
On February 11, a Russian citizen was killed and 21 other people were injured in a collision between a high-speed tourist boat and a fishing trawler on the Thai island of Phuket. According to preliminary data, there were at least 55 people on board the tourist vessel.
