A teenager from Kuzbass was accused of financing terrorism
A teenager from Kuzbass was charged under the article on financing terrorism. This was announced on March 18 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Investigative Committee for the region.
"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass have charged a 17-year-old resident of Belovo with committing a crime under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of terrorism)," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
According to the investigation, the teenager provided financial support to an organization recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia through one of the messengers, leaving paid responses on posts.
The accused was detained and is currently under house arrest. Investigators are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident and are gathering evidence.
In Primorye, on March 16, a local court sentenced 14 years in a high-security penal colony to a resident found guilty of financing FBK (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and liquidated) and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
