The Vostok group of troops disrupted a night attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhia region

During the aerial reconnaissance of the territory, operators of reconnaissance drones of the troops of the unmanned systems of the Vostok group of forces recorded the movement of militants along the forest belts in the area of the special military operation in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on March 18 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It was clarified that the assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at night tried to secretly approach the line of combat contact and attack the advanced positions of the Vostok group.

At first, the detected targets were hit by drones in the "free hunting" mode, which disoriented the enemy. With subsequent precision strikes, drone crews destroyed scattered groups of infantry trying to hide in a forest plantation.

It was noted that to coordinate the work of reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), domestic communications facilities are used to control units and transmit high-quality video broadcasts to command posts.

Thanks to air support and precise adjustments, the enemy's attack at night was successfully thwarted, the Defense Ministry stressed.
