The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the city of Sochi was promptly repelled. This was announced on March 17 by the mayor of Sochi Andrey Proshunin.

"The air defense systems quickly worked on air targets that threatened the Central and Lazarevsky districts. According to preliminary data, the city's infrastructure has not been affected," the mayor said in his Telegram channel.

Proshunin also pointed out the possibility of falling debris and reminded residents and guests of the resort of the strict prohibition to approach the wreckage and videotape the work of emergency services.
