Cultural institutions in Donbass are being transformed before the eyes of residents of the region, and Denis Pushilin, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and Sergey Kiriyenko, the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, assessed the changes after the renovation on March 17.

The first point of visit was the Donetsk Republican Academic Puppet Theater.

"Here, within the framework of the national projects Culture and Family, sound and lighting equipment were updated, and props for creating new productions were purchased," Pushilin shared his impressions on his Telegram channel.

Olga Arutinova, General Director and artistic director, said that the capital repairs of the stage were carried out at the expense of the republican budget. The large hall in it is designed for 268 seats. In addition to the large and small halls, a third stage was also built last year, the baby theater, which is designed for ages from zero to five years old, where children can play in peace and parents can relax.

The head of the DPR said that the Bakhrushinsky Theater Museum, as part of the federal project "New Theater Museum", opened a permanent exhibition of dolls in the theater. Visitors are shown more than 140 rare items, including original dolls with unique movement mechanisms.

Pushilin and Kiriyenko also visited the Donetsk Republican Art Museum, which suffered three direct hits from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The building has now been renovated with a lobby and four halls, professional lighting has been installed, and areas for storing and restoring exhibits have been equipped. The museum currently features 230 original works by Russian and European artists. In total, there are 17 thousand works in his collection.

On March 4, a playroom for young patients was opened at the Luhansk City Children's Hospital with the support of the Charitable Foundation for Children of Donbass, established by ROSSIYA Joint-Stock Bank and the Popular Front. The space is organized taking into account the emotional needs of children undergoing treatment.
