Moscow to overhaul historic apartment building near Patriarch's Ponds

Moscow has agreed on a project to overhaul a five-story 1905 house in Maly Kozikhinsky Lane, 4. This was announced on Tuesday, March 17, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to him, the building is not a monument, but it has historical architectural features, so it is important to preserve the layout and appearance during the work.

The project provides for the replacement of engineering systems, renovation of facades and interior spaces. Special attention will be paid to decorative elements: plaster will be restored, stucco will be cleaned and painted, balconies and entrance groups will be renovated, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Moskomexpertize clarified that they will also replace the electricity, heating and water supply systems, renovate the roof and insulate the attic. After completion of the work, local repairs will be carried out. The Capital Repair Fund added that modern technologies and materials are used during the reconstruction, preserving the historical appearance of the building, writes Moscow 24.
