The ice crossing on the border with China was closed in the Amur region
In the Amur region, the international ice crossing Poyarkovo (Russia) - Xunke (China) was closed due to weather conditions. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"The decision to close was made by agreement of the neighboring parties in connection with an increase in air temperature and the formation of thawed traffic lanes," the agency said in a statement.
According to PriamurMedia news agency, traffic on the seasonal road between the states was closed on March 16. As of the 17th, 11 ice crossings continue to operate in the Amur Region.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges motorists to use only authorized ice crossings, as it may be unsafe to travel on ice in other places.
