The fortune of Yandex co-founder Volozh has quadrupled
The capital of Yandex co-founder Arkady Volozh has almost quadrupled over the past year. His fortune is estimated at $4.4 billion, a year earlier it was $1.2 billion. This was announced on March 17 by the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires rating.
The main increase occurred in March 2026. In just one day, the businessman's fortune increased by $ 521 million. This was due to a sharp rise in the quotations of his company Nebius Group (formerly Dutch Yandex NV) on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
The Nebius Group was formed after the division of Yandex's assets in 2024, selling Russian assets to local investors for $5.4 billion. At the moment, Volozh's company is fully focused on the market of cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
A day earlier, the Nebius press service reported that the company had entered into a long-term agreement with Meta (Meta Corporation's activities are recognized as extremist and prohibited in Russia) to supply infrastructure for AI. The contract value is approximately $27 billion. As part of the five-year agreement, Nebius will provide Meta with $12 billion in dedicated capacity in several locations, using one of the first large-scale NVIDIA Vera Rubin platforms. Deliveries will begin in early 2027.
