Iran's blocking of the Strait of Hormuz is a dishonest move. This was announced on March 17 by US President Donald Trump.

"It's not even fair on their part. We've already won!", — said Trump in a video posted on his social network Truth Social.

Trump was outraged by Iran's actions and said that Tehran has no right to block the Strait of Hormuz. On the same day, Kevin Hassett, head of the American National Economic Council, announced that the situation with oil transportation through the waters of the Strait of Hormuz was under the control of the US authorities.

On March 16, Trump announced the imminent completion of the operation against Iran. He stressed that he had no doubt about the appropriate outcome. The opposite opinion was expressed on March 13 by an American military analyst, retired Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen. In his opinion, the Strait of Hormuz may be under Iranian control for several months.

On March 16, Tasnim news agency called the lifting of sanctions against Iran a precondition for the restoration of navigation in the area in question. The blocking of this territory, as recognized in the text, was a blow to the global energy market.
