Experts predicted a trend towards a hybrid work format in 2026
In 2026, the hybrid work format may become established as the main model of labor organization against the background of the continuing demand of employees for flexibility and at the same time a steady interest in the office environment. Boris Kurbatov, founder and CEO of Dream Job, announced this on March 17 in a conversation with Izvestia.
The expert noted that by the end of 2025, remote and hybrid employment were mentioned in 6.4% of reviews on the Dream Job platform as a significant advantage of the employer, while the office environment appeared in 10.6% of comments.
"This suggests that the request for flexibility is an important factor in employee expectations and continues to influence the perception of the employer, but the physical workspace still retains importance as part of the daily experience," Kurbatov emphasized.
He explained that the observed dynamics is related to the transition of the labor market from the stage of drastic transformation to the formation of a more stable employment model after the mass spread of the remote format.
"For employees, flexibility has become part of the basic expectations from the employer, especially in segments with high competition for qualified personnel," he added.
At the same time, according to him, for companies, the hybrid approach remains a tool for adapting to market requirements while maintaining the elements of office infrastructure necessary for effective interaction and team management. Under these conditions, Kurbatov concluded, employers will combine work formats depending on business objectives, team functions and the labor market situation, and a hybrid model will be the most sustainable solution.
