So, in the early morning in the Tula region, on 24 km of the Tula— Aleksin regional highway, a 70-year—old driver of an intercity bus traveling along the Aleksin-Petrushino route with 35 passengers in the cabin ran over a truck parked in his direction, which had stopped on the road a few hours earlier due to engine failure.. One of the bus passengers was killed in the accident, and five more were sent for outpatient treatment with minor injuries after receiving medical care. According to the elderly bus driver, in the predawn darkness, he did not notice the truck standing in his way because he was blinded by the headlights of an oncoming car.

The State Traffic Inspectorate recommended that bus drivers correctly assess their dimensions and speed, weather conditions, visibility, condition and width of the roadway, terrain and the possibility of skidding on a slippery spring road.
