The victims of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall insist on a review of the criminal case in connection with the deaths of two people during the trial. Lawyer Igor Trunov informed Izvestia about this on March 17.

He clarified that two victims who were seriously injured in the attack died while undergoing long-term treatment.

"Two victims died after treatment due to severe injuries. The defense requires an expert examination. If the connection with the crime is confirmed, then the defendants must bear responsibility for their deaths — then the verdict will have to be reviewed," the lawyer said.

The terrorist attack in Crocus occurred on March 22, 2024. Then armed terrorists in camouflage broke into the concert hall and opened fire, setting the premises on fire. As a result of the incident, 149 people were killed and over 600 were injured in various degrees of severity.

The mother of Maxim Verbenin, a wheelchair user, Alyona, who died in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, told Izvestia on March 12 that his remains could only be buried almost two years after the tragedy. In the first months after the tragedy, the body could not be found because of the high temperature.

Lawyer Lyudmila Aivar told Izvestia that one of the victims, Natalia Skisova, died on March 14. On the day of the tragedy, the woman was seriously injured.
