In Moscow, March 2026 may break the record for the number of hours of sunshine. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, reported this in her Telegram channel on Tuesday, March 17.

"The anticyclone continues to delight the capital with the sun. And the weather won't change much until the end of the month. It is possible that March 2026 will turn out to be a record holder for the number of hours of sunshine," the Moscow City News agency quoted Pozdnyakova as saying.

The forecaster clarified that the sunlight norm for the first month of spring is 128 hours.

The day before, Pozdnyakova said that an anticyclone is expected to affect Moscow in the coming days, which will ensure dry and sunny weather in the metropolitan region, RT reports.
