The capital's most popular museums among children are named

In 2025, children and teenagers from different Russian cities visited the capital's museums about 2.5 million times. This is 8% more than in 2024, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"Among the popular venues are the State Darwin Museum, the Museum of Cosmonautics, the Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye nature reserves. Institutions offer young visitors different educational formats: excursions, games and master classes," Sergunina noted.

For example, classes at the Darwin Museum tell about the ancient inhabitants of the Earth. Children try themselves out as paleontologists and learn to identify animals by footprints.

At the Cosmonautics Museum, those who wish can get acquainted with the history of famous people who worked in the industry and make memorable souvenirs with their own hands.

In the interactive space of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, children are playfully taught about the traditions, architecture and fashion of the past years.

"Thanks to the city's Museums for Children project, young Muscovites have the opportunity to explore expositions on history, architecture, art, biology and other topics for free. Over eight and a half years, the guys have used it more than 4.6 million times. Last year alone, the number of visits within the framework of the project exceeded 860,000," said Sergunina.
