Zakharova called the insults of the Kiev ombudsman of the Russian language Nazism
Insulting words of the Ukrainian "language ombudsman" Elena Ivanovskaya about the Russian language, which she compared to arrogance, are a manifestation of stupidity and Nazism. This was announced on March 17 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"These are (Ivanovskaya's statements. — Ed.) probably, the very language of stupidity, which, no matter what language it speaks, cannot be hidden," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Zakharova recalled that what was broadcast by the language Ombudsman of Ukraine had already found expression in world history, which, she stressed, was called "from racism to neo-Nazism."
On March 11, Zakharova, referring to a report by the Alexander Pushkin Institute of the Russian Language, said that the abolition of Russian culture and language was "loudmouthed." According to her, Russian is the fifth most widely spoken language in the world, and attempts by Western countries to oppress or ban it are futile. On February 4, she reported that the Ukrainian authorities were harassing the Russian-speaking population, despite which the population of this country continued to speak and think in Russian.
