Four police officers hospitalized after shooting in Crimea
Four police officers were hospitalized after a resident of Crimea opened fire on them, the republic's prosecutor's office said on March 17.
"According to available information, on March 16, 2026, a resident of the village of Stefanovka, born in 1976, fired several shots at law enforcement officers who arrived to carry out operational activities. Four law enforcement officers were hospitalized with injuries," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
The Prosecutor's Office took control of the investigation of the criminal case initiated under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assault on the life of a law enforcement officer).
