Three more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down in the sky over the Leningrad region. This was announced on March 17 by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.
"Three more UAVs were shot down over the Leningrad region. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Thus, the number of drones destroyed in the region on the morning of March 17 reached nine. According to Drozdenko, air defense systems continue to operate in the Leningrad region.
The first four drones were shot down over the Leningrad region in the early morning of the same day. Later, two more UAVs were eliminated there. As a result of the recorded incidents, there were no casualties or damage.
