The lawyer named a way to receive compensation after illness due to infection at work

An employee can seek compensation from a colleague through the court if he infected them during their work. This was announced on March 17 by a senior lecturer at the K. N. Gusov Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law at the O. E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University Anastasia Kolodyazhnaya.

"Those affected by his [sick employee's] actions or inaction of colleagues have the right to file a civil lawsuit to compensate for the costs of treatment and medicines, as well as lost earnings during the period of illness and moral damage," the lawyer said in an interview with TASS.

It is noted that in order to receive compensation, it is necessary to have appropriate evidence.
