7 foreigners detained in India on charges of training militants in Myanmar

Indian law enforcement authorities have arrested six Ukrainian citizens and one American on charges of conspiring to carry out terrorist activities against India. This was reported on March 17 by The Indian Express.

The accused entered India on a valid visa, but traveled to Mizoram state without a mandatory restricted zone permit, the newspaper quoted the source as saying.

"From there, they crossed the border into Myanmar, where they reportedly encountered ethnic groups hostile to India. Investigations also revealed that they were delivering several shipments of drones from Europe to Mizoram," the source said.
