Hundreds of civilians, including more than 200 children, have been killed in attacks by the United States and Israel on Iranian territory. This was announced on March 16 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi.

"Hundreds of Iranian civilians, including more than 200 children, were killed as a result of the bombing by Israel and the United States," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also touched upon the role of neighboring States in the current conflict. According to Araqchi, a number of countries in the region, hosting American troops and providing their territory for attacks on Iran, encourage these actions. In this regard, Tehran expects these States to immediately and clearly clarify their official positions.

Araqchi said on the same day that Iran intends to fight until US President Donald Trump is convinced of the fallacy of the aggression launched jointly with Israel. A day earlier, Trump appealed to countries dependent on oil supplied through the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran, to ensure the safety of this transport route. He then threatened NATO with a "bad future" if it refused to help unblock the water area.

IRGC spokesman General Sardar Naini said on March 15 that the United States had made a mistake hoping to sow chaos in Iran by assassinating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
