A criminal case of attempted murder has been opened in the Moscow region after a schoolboy attacked his classmate with a knife. This was reported on March 16 in the press service of the GSU Investigative Committee (IC) for the Moscow region.

"A criminal case has been opened into the attempted murder of a 13-year—old teenager (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency's website says.

Investigators are currently working with the attacker, they are establishing the motives of the crime committed by the teenager.

The Shchelkovo City Prosecutor's Office also launched an investigation into the attack on a student before classes.
