In Iran, after attacks by the military of the United States and Israel, more than 61 thousand civilian facilities were damaged, more than 18 thousand of them are located in the country's capital, Tehran. This was announced on March 16 by the official representative of the Government of the Islamic Republic, Fatemeh Mohajerani.

"61,182 civilian facilities in the country were damaged. 18,180 residential and commercial buildings in Tehran were damaged," she said during a briefing. The broadcast was hosted by the Iranian TV channel SNN.

Mohammad Esmail Tavakolli, head of the ambulance department of the capital province, also pointed out that the death toll from the US and Israeli strikes on the Iranian province of Tehran has reached 503 people, including 12 children aged two months to 12 years.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that the leaders of the United States and Israel, who planned to carry out a quick attack on Iran, are beginning to realize how mistaken they were. Such an unprovoked aggression could not remain without reaction, so the Iranian authorities are defending themselves by responding with strikes against the infrastructure of the countries that attacked it in their region, Lavrov said.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on March 16 that Iran, during the 55th wave of attacks on Israel and US bases, hit Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport and Israel Aerospace Industries military production centers with superheavy ballistic and hypersonic missiles.
