Statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about sending military advisers to the Middle East to fight Iranian drones are dragging Kiev into a direct confrontation with Tehran. This was announced on March 16 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Bagai, at a briefing.

"Since he [Zelensky] has not achieved his goals in this conflict, he is trying to involve other countries in the crisis. From the very beginning, we said that we were not involved in the Ukrainian crisis, and we believe that the Ukrainian president is complicating the problem with his actions and positions," Middle East News quoted him as saying.

He also expressed regret that the Ukrainian people were influenced by Zelensky, who has been leading the country towards an inevitable conflict for four years. Bagai stressed that Iran has no problems with the people of Ukraine, but the leadership of the republic records Kiev's constant attempts to involve other states in the conflict due to the inability to achieve externally imposed goals.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attempts to interfere in Middle Eastern affairs will not help Ukraine solve its own internal problems. Bagai explained that such actions mean complicity in the conflict and direct cooperation with the aggressors opposing Iran, the United States and Israel.

He added that such a policy would entail international responsibility for the Ukrainian state. Bagai concluded that the Iranian people will never forgive Kiev for such a step if Ukraine becomes an accomplice in attacks on the Islamic Republic.

The Financial Times (FT) newspaper learned on March 6 about the contacts of the American military with their colleagues from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) about the possible creation of a Sky Fortress anti-UAV system in the Middle East. After a while, the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, announced the dispatch of drone specialists to protect American bases in Jordan. According to him, Kiev has also sent interceptor drones to Washington. The commander-in-chief of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe, American General Alexus Grinkevich, said on March 12 that his country had transferred the lessons of the conflict in Ukraine to the operation against Iran. At that time, as he described, "powerful sets" of air defense systems (air defense) had accumulated in the Middle East.
