The court received confirmation of the cancer diagnosis from blogger Lerchek (Valery Chekalin) from the Blokhin Oncology Center. This was announced on March 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

Upon request, the cancer center replied that Chekalina had been hospitalized in the department of drug treatment. The diagnosis is almost identical to the one stated earlier. The details of the diagnosis were not disclosed.
