Lercek's ex-husband reported on the children's lives with him after the blogger's hospitalization

The children of blogger Lerchek (real name is Valeria Chekalina) live with her ex—husband Artyom while their mother is undergoing treatment. This was announced on March 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Gagarin District Court of Moscow.

"The children live with me, and in those moments when her (Valeria. — Ed.) they are discharged, they immediately go to her," said Chekalin.

Earlier that day, Lercek's defense asked for the suspension of proceedings in the case of illegal withdrawal of funds abroad due to a serious health condition.

Chekalina began treatment at the State Cancer Center on March 11. At the same time, lawyer Maxim Blinov told Izvestia that the blogger could be released from punishment due to the presence of the disease. Before that, the father of her newborn child, Luis Squicciarini, announced on March 8 that she had cancer cells. In addition, she underwent spinal surgery due to the destruction of several vertebrae.

On December 1, Lercek pleaded not guilty to withdrawing funds abroad and noted that she did not understand the essence of the charges. In turn, ex-husband Artem Chekalin admitted that he was guilty of committing a tax crime, but had nothing to do with the withdrawal of funds from Russia.
