Since the beginning of 2026, the Moscow Parking tow trucks have moved 249 vehicles without state registration plates to special parking lots. BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Geely brands were the most common among such cars, the capital's Deptrans reported on its Telegram channel on March 16.

According to the department, cars that cannot be identified may pose a threat, be stolen or used for criminal purposes. At special parking lots, cars are checked by law enforcement officers.

Moscow Parking tow trucks have been moving cars with removed or forged license plates to parking lots since 2017. This work is carried out by the decision of the Anti-Terrorist Commission.

At the end of January, it was reported that in 2025, drivers in Moscow accumulated 9 million rubles in debts on fines for unpaid parking. In 2025, by decision of the Federal Bailiff Service, tow trucks from Moskovsky Parking moved 66 cars to special parking lots for large debts of their owners. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, as well as Audi and Lexus cars were most often taken away.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
